Now, what is the revelation and testimony of Jesus Christ? The testimony and revelation of Jesus Christ is the reality of the coming kingdom of God and his Son, and what we need to prepare for as kings and priests unto God and the Father of Jesus Christ.
And as we prepare for the coming kingdom of Jesus Christ, we are to understand we are at war with the world, and that the world is at war with the saints and kingdom of Christ, a world and kingdom we with Christ will one day destroy.
John wrote for the confidence of God’s people, and for their joy, Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.” Because upon the appearance of Jesus Christ, we with Christ will be as a cloud covering the earth arrayed in battle against the kingdoms of the earth to take the kingdom away from the kings of the earth.
The prophets wrote, Psalms 149:4-9 “For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.” The Lord has made us kings and priests unto God to execute his will in the earth, and upon the day of his appearance, we will appear with Christ in power over the nations.
Therefore, it is said, Psalm 149:5-6, “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand” And the reason we have the position as kings and priests, and the reason we are sent out into the world in service unto our Lord and savior the Prince of the kings of the earth, it’s because we at God’s command through Jesus Christ will execute God’s vengeance upon the nations of the world until they are destroyed. And because of these things, Christ is confirming with John what is to be in the future.
The saints of the Highest standing at his right hand will, Psalm 149:7-9 “Execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; so that they may bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; and to execute upon them the judgment written. This is the honor God has restored to all his saints, and why we are to praise the LORD.”
Therefore, when John heard the judgment and saw what will be shortly in the future, he wrote to the seven churches saying that the kindreds of the earth will wail because of the coming of Jesus Christ. It is because of the vengeance of the Lord against the kingdoms of the earth. Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.”
And standing in the midst of his people, Jesus the Prince of the kings of the earth will grant his saints the authority to strike through the armies of the Antichrist, and with a rod of iron rule over the nations that they bow to the King of kings and Lord of lords, and Christ at that moment will be glorified through the victory of his saints over the nations.
Revelation 1:9-11 “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, what thou sees, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.”
And obeying the word of God, John wrote to the seven churches who rejoiced in the Spirit of Christ. Because the revelation and testimony of Jesus Christ were the judgments and victory of his saints over the kingdoms of the world.
